Leupold Control App

The ability to range and dial accurate data is essential to the hunter or competitive shooter in the field. I was proud to lead the UI portion of app development. Using Figma and Fig-jam, I utilized wire-framing sessions to complete the User interface design process for both phase 1 and phase 2 of the app launches.

Phase 1

THE phase one approach was to pair the device with the rx-5000 rangefinder and utilize TBR/W as the engine for ballistic group data. One of the key features of the control app was Utilizing maps and the pinning for sharing location, scouting locations, and retrieving game from the field.

The design interface was deliberately in dark mode to emit the lowest level light reflection (to aide in dawn and dusk hunting).

Phase 2

Phase 2 took the app to a new level, pairing the device with the bx-6 raNGE HD. THE APP ENABLED PROFESSIONAL GUIDES AND COMPETITION SHOOTERS WITH ACCURATE BALLISTICS, SENSOR BASED WEATHER, ELEVATION, AND WIND DATA. A STAND OUT FEATURE WAS THE NEWLY CONCEIVED WIDGET HOMEPAGE, WHICH ENABLED AUDIENCES TO CUSTOMIZE THEIR HOME SCREEN SETTING FOR QUICK REFERENCE.

THE RANGE OF TYPEFACES USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH COLOR AND MINIMAL GRAPHICS WERE ESSENTIAL IN MAKIng THe LAUNCH A SUCCESS.
